Atty. Vincent Joseph Cesista worked as a Senior Associate at Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & delos Angeles Law Offices, a prominent Makati-based law firm, from 2017 to January 2023. He founded Cesista Law on March 1, 2023. His areas of practice include real estate law, energy law, commercial law, arbitration and dispute resolution, as well as tourism and hospitality.
As a student, Atty. Cesista has represented the Philippines in law competitions in the United States for Philip C. Jessup Competition[1] (2015, 2016, 2019), the United Kingdom and China for Monroe Price Competition[2] (2016, 2017), and Switzerland for Nelson Mandela Competition[3] (2018). Atty. Cesista has won ANC Square Off Twice. ANC Square Off is a televised law national debate competition. In both instances, Atty. Cesista, then a student, was declared the best speaker in the championship round.

Moreover, his day-to-day practice includes land and other realty due diligence and transactions. For the year 2024, Atty. Cesista has led his team in successfully acquiring a license to sell from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development for the first ever condominium project in Palawan (outside of Puerto Princesa City). He has particular expertise in acquiring or overseeing the acquisition of pre-requisite licenses for condominium and subdivision licenses including the ones issued by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Agrarian Reform, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, among others. Atty. Cesista regularly oversees the legal due diligence of transactions involving acquisitions or transfers of real properties in and out of Metro Manila. Atty. Cesista and his team has successfully completed the transfer of several properties by way of sale, donation, and extrajudicial settlement of estate.
Atty. Cesista is the legal counsel of one of the energy distribution companies in the country. Atty. Cesista has likewise represented a distribution utility company in administrative proceedings motu proprio initiated by the Commission. He has experience representing officers of a distribution utility company in criminal cases filed by energy consumers in relation to the DU’s functions.

He is one of the lawyers that represented a major drug distribution companies in one of the most high-profile cases in the country concerning issues with a vaccine. Atty. Cesista has represented various clients in arbitration proceedings before the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. and the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission. Atty. Cesista is a member of the Young Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration. He has also assisted in the due diligence and acquisition of several communication towers in one of the biggest transactions in the Philippine telecommunications industry. He has likewise served as Corporate Secretary / Assistant Corporate Secretary of several Philippine Corporations.
Atty. Cesista has assisted in the incorporation of and has served as chief legal counsel of the biggest hospitality group based in El Nido, Palawan currently handling 9 hotels / accommodations in El Nido, Palawan. His team is responsible for all the regulatory compliances of the hotels under the Department of Tourism, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the LGU, among others.
